Christian Weight Loss

The following are some rules I believe we should all practice to build healthy families. A healthy family is truly a blessing!

We recognize each other's value.
God does not make mistakes. Learn to appreciate the unique personality and gifts that each family member has to offer. If you have personality conflicts with a family member, then pray that God work peace into the situation...and reveal to you anything you might be doing to contribute to the conflict.

We are kind to one another.
Sadly, we are often more kind to strangers than to our loved ones. We can also do the most damage to our loved ones too simply because we know exactly how to push their buttons. Be careful to speak good words to your family members. With your tongue, you have the power to build up and tear down.

The bible says, "The wise woman builds her house but the foolish pulls it down with her hands." This can just as easily apply to the tongue!

We eat together. Eating healthy meals together sets a great example for your children and allows you to stay connected to your family. Take time to eat together at least once a week so that you can stay informed about each other's lives.

We exercise together. Taking a walk together, playing a game or visiting the neighborhood pool is another great way to build your relationship and to set a good health example.

We worship together. Taking time to pray, pray, and worship together grounds the family in God's love.  As you grow in God’s love, you grow in your ability to love each other.

Make building healthy families a top priority and you will reap the benefits.
